As a 60+ yellow DF XL rider in the Netherlands I am avidly awaiting the new tail extension as a welcome addition to a pretty well-thought-out design by DF.
I will be participating in the annual Lelystad-Enkhuizen-Lelystad (LEL) organized by Mr Sijbrandij in October, and am still hoping to lay my hands on this Watt saving tail extension…. Could I borrow Peter’s? Driving through Germany Sunday October 15…
Thank you. Peter deserves the credit. He provided the horsepower and most of the ideas for aero improvements. Unfortunately, our wrap-under tail extension only fits a standard DF – not a DFXL. The original stock tail extension designed by Daniel Fenn does fit a DF and a DFXL.
Hi Michael, yes it;s ultimately the rider that puts in the required Watts to set a good time, and that was done by Peter! I guess it’s Mr DF who might still have a tail-piece somewhere on stock in Bavaria, I will ask him now.
